Interesting. The timing is uncanny (then again, you always are...)!
It occurred to me yesterday that maybe my horrible neighbour envies me? And I took a fleeting instant of pride in the thought. Not boastful pride, really - I don't think so, anyway - just sorta, "Yeah. I have stuff going for me that she might envy, and she turns that into snide comments and a cold shoulder."
Then again - I also saw pride in a couple of young kids this morning. I serve breakfasts 2 days a week to primary school students, and two of the kids were eager little beavers helping us out; they took huge pride in pitching in and we rewarded them amply with praise. It's little moments like those that make a day worthwhile. :)
