My Brute is Kind of Cute

Pick your brute, go forth and clobber.

My Brute is available to clobber you if you feel you need to be on the wrong end of a frying pan, or whatever comes to hand.

Cute and simple online game. Just don't take the clobbering part too seriously.

Chore Wars

Chore Wars - Get XP for doing your housework in this online RPG. I didn't try it yet cause I'm not at home and besides, I really do dislike housework. I'd make really slow progress in a game like this. I do like the idea. I just need those male slaves to whip along so I can play the game while they work. Sounds like a pretty good plan to me.

Armor Games - Assorted Online Games

Zack is visiting for another couple of weeks. Taking the next in the courses for being a lifeguard. He introduced me to Armor Games, all kinds of free games you play on the web.

You've Been Vista-ed!

Old games never die they just need old operating systems. It's frustrating to have all these games which I really enjoy (especially when Zack, my nephew, is visiting, as he is for a couple of weeks) but not be able to get most of them working on the new computer running Vista. Carmageddon, my favourite, runs but without the sound. It is still fun but kind of bland to play it silently. Most of the others will not even load up at all.

New games are expensive. Not all the games I like have new versions. Like Carmageddon they stopped development on them and even though there is talk about a new Carmageddon I've yet to see anything new in the store.

Why can't they make an operating system (a Windows in my case) that works with the old games? Why do they intentionally eliminate old software and force us to buy new software? I wish they would cut that out!

Adventure Quest: Ebil Games

I like Adventure Quest, an online RPG game you can play free. Here they have a set of Ebil Games. I'm not sure if they are a new feature but they are new to me. Trying one of them out this afternoon when I should be doing something more productive.

One of the Other Games I Play

Adventure Quest - It's an online (via web browser, no need to download anything special) role playing game. My nephew and I play it and compare scores, monsters fought and so on. There are special events, more often now than when I joined a few years ago. I just recently became a Guardian (paid player) but you can play free as long as you like. Guardians get extras but freebie players don't get shafted. I played free a long time before paying the one time fee to join. Mainly I did it cause Zack still likes the game even though he is 12 now and very seriously becoming a man, not a boy. Don't call him a boy! :)

Friday Fun: The Gamer Edition

1. What was your favorite outside childhood game? Kick the Can, Ghost in the Graveyard, etc.?
2. How about board games? Do you have a favorite?
3. Do you play any PC games? Online or offline? If so, what is your favorite? If not, is there one out there you want to try?
4. Gaming stations,… there are so many out there and I know jack about them! Do you have one or more and which ones? XBox, XBox 360, Playstation, etc.?

Friday Fun: The Gamer Edition
1. Didn't really play many outside games. We did carnivals to raise money at different times of the year. Not a game but that is all I can think of as a favourite close to a game. (We did have Pull-the-String after all).

2. Scrabble is always my favourite.

3. I like city building games like Caesar, Civilization, Stronghold, Age of Empires. I also like Carmageddon and roleplaying games online.

4. I leave all the game stations to my nephew. He has a couple of them, PS2 is the only one I can remember at the moment.
