Breaking my Code

I am against splogs and I don't like ads in blogs. But I am trying Text Link Ads. They are not as intrusive as a lot of the ads I have seen. I won't be running any others. But, I wanted to try this one and see if it actually does make any money.

Dear, whatever do you have against honest ads? (Honest being ads clearly stated as ads, not fake posts; and on the side, not all over the blog/site.)

I mean you'd expect to get paid for a book you made, right? Blogs are self-published works, so why not monetize them?

People can click them or not; so it's not like you're treating them like dogs who peed and rub their noses in it...

We should do a gmail chat or something soon...

I'm a believer in blogs being about the joy of creating something. I don't like magazines bloated with more ads than content either. I don't like how television commercials raise the volume on commercials, louder than the show I'm watching. I also don't like weeding through a blog full of ads to find something real, something worth sticking around for. I don't like feeling forced to look at ads when I don't want to. I don't mind a site trying an ad. I avoid sites that clutter up the whole site with ads. I really hate ads in between each post too. Makes me feel I'm reading a city bus, not a personal blog.

No offense to you D. I've always been honest with you and I'm not going to sugar coat it now.
