Is wireless better than a standard internet connection? What is the difference? What exactly does wireless mean cause I've still got plenty o wires/ cables and cords. I've got it plugged in and I'm online using it. But I still have some reading to do when I get home tonight after work.
Graham might be here today so I might be driving into work today, that would be sweet! He is going to pitch a fit if he notices I'm spending more on the Internet connection though. I do have the plus that we should be able to connect my Mom up too, when she is back, without spending money on another account. Will have to figure out just how that works too.

From my experience, wireless doesn't seem any faster than regular cable. The main benefit as far as I know is that you can have multiple PC's in your house and only one has to be hooked up to the cable, or at least a router that's hooked up to the cable. It's great for my using my lap top. I can be relaxing on the couch or in my bed and still surf the web.
I don't actually have wireless at home, but when I was staying at my mother's for a week recently, one of her neighbors had a strong enough signal that I was able to tap into their wireless, free of charge. That only works, though, if they don't have it password protected.
Have fun figuring it out. Though, I have a feeling you're gonna be way too busy driving around to be playing with your pc...lol.
Laura, hope you are okay. Heard about the fire in Barrie this am and wanted to write you a note. Sorry nothing to do with the internet but mine is sucking right now. Take care.
I was at work when it started. As I was getting taxi home I could see the smoke and smell it all. The driver knew something about it but not much. Have not had the radio on today to hear anything new. Funny that I work about a block away and didn't hear the explosion.
