I thought I had heard the Guild was closed as a restaurant. I did not remember it was all boarded up and looking so very derelict. My Mom and I drove there today and it was not looking the way I remembered from having a fancy family dinner there years ago. Above is a picture I found online. From the older, better days. I will try to get there tomorrow for photos of the here and now. I did not have the camera with me today. We hadn't planned on going far and I just thought I'd have that much less to carry around. Too bad cause I would love photos of the Guild as it is now. Before it's gone. I found a blog about the Guild area, the town and the surrounding city.

The Guildwood Inn and Gardens
I thought I had heard the Guild was closed as a restaurant. I did not remember it was all boarded up and looking so very derelict. I used to LOVE visiting the Guild! It really is in a very sad state, I think it is going to be torn down now that the developers who bought it have backed out of the deal. Such a waste of a historic site.
Are you still in the area? I didn't get there today. But I still plan to this week. I'd meet you there if you wanted to take some photos too.
