You Can Help your Neighbourhood

I posted this as a comment on Skye's blog and was so impressed with how clever I am that I decided to post it over here too.

If everyone focused on making the small part of the world around them better the rest would follow. You can't do much about children in Africa but you can smile at your neighbour today. You can bring up the trash cans of the old couple who live across the street. You can .... the list is endless with possibilities.

The Big Help

I bring up my neighbours trash can every week, before she gets home. She's an older lady who walks with a cane. She must wonder who does it. That would have been Thursday.

Friday I left for the weekend with my sister's family helping them out, babysitting and getting Zack to do his homework. I got back Sunday.

I haven't been out yet today. But I always make it a point to smile and wave or chat with any neighbours. Pretty much anyone who looks up from their own feet really.
