It was an hour drive to the little town where I found two of these near each other. The school house was a little farther along.
It is harder to spot them when you are alone. I needed to drive by three times before I was sure enough to pull into the lane and walk up with the camera. Even then I wasn't sure the grey stone house was abandoned until I saw the front door.
I don't know where Skye is, perhaps the USA? but she should know there are LOTS of old abandoned and very photo-worthy farmsteads all over the place - she'll find them if she takes back roads.

Great captures! Why do you think it is that you, up there in Canada, have so many abadoned places when I can hardly find any here???
I'm getting frustrated racking up miles on my car and not finding a thing :(
