Superblogging?

I'm looking for something that will make it easier to upgrade my site from HTML with tables to CSS without tables. Maybe Superblogging will work. It's free to use.

Blog software that you can run from your desktop. Does not need MySQL to have a blog on your site. At least thats what it says. I am downloading it to test it out. Thingamablog

Looking for E-card Freeware

I'd like to run web greeting cards from my site. It would be much simpler with some kind of software but so far I haven't found anything freeware that lets you do it from your site. There are a few which run like affiliates. I really don't want to promote someone else or use their art/ graphics. I have my own in mind.

It will be cute once I stomp on all the bugs.

I'm looking at WordPress so I can run my blog from my new domain rather than here and then hopping back there. Simpler for me I think. WordPress is still free and has lots of features. The screenshots look impressive too.

I think I finally found a nice, simple, little FTP program. It's taken a surprisingly long period of searching. I remember when there were masses of little freeware programs. The Internet is becoming really commercial. I miss the freebie days.

Just found this at Download.com. I was looking for a really small and simple and plain ftp program to upload my pages. But this has that and will do a lot more. I am going to try it and see. It's freeware too.

Right now it's at 75% so I haven't even installed it yet.

I've been working on my site today. Making some stick figure grrls as graphics.

Netscape Composer

Netscape didn't fare well in the browser wars a couple of years ago when the Net was still web behind the ears. (No, that's not a typo, I'm just trying to be clever). But, today when I wanted to make a quickie change to a website I went in search of FrontPage on my PC only to realize I've yet to reinstall it from the last reformat of my hard drive. *sigh*

But, lurking there, covered in dust bunnies, was Netscape and Netscape Composer. I liked Composer long before I ever forked out the money for Front Page. They are actually a lot alike. Now, you seem to have to register to use Composer which was annoying as I loathe having more passwords and logins to bugger around with. But, it does work. Also, though I don't have time this afternoon to really test it out, Netscape seems to have that feature that lets you make changes to your site and then load it to your domain. No resorting to an extra bit of softare for the ftp thing. That is convenient, one of the best things about Front Page. If Netscape works for the uploading I may not reinstall Front Page afterall. How many bulky, cantankerous programs do you need on one hard drive?

Free newsletter software. Oh frig! There is so much stuff one person could be doing. But one person is only one person and she does have a life. How can one person do it all?

She can't. This person is going to have to take stock and chop more things out. That or actually get organized. Eeek! How do some women have kids on top of all of this. I feel too crowded with to-do list things.

Norton sucked the life out of my web connection so I deleted it from my hard drive. Now I'm trying this one, freeware. It's better but I'm not sure if it isn't hogging my connection speed too. I've had a really slow connect a few times and had to reboot.

But it's free, a plus. I'm giving it at least as long as I let Norton hang around. Literally hang actually. Bastard. lol
