Why Online Dating Just isn't Going to Work for Me.
You'd have to know me quite well to understand my title for this post. But, I will laugh each time I see it. :)

Be the Dragon!
This was at Spyro's Lair. If you join the chat/ register you can make your own dragon. Unfortunately I could not find a way to get an image other than screen capture after I had saved it. Pretty small image. If I did it again I'd save a screen capture before I click "done".Friday, May 23, 2008

Snapple has Dragonfruit
Dragonfruit: Is that a real fruit? Has anyone else never heard of that? Yet, here I am, a dragon. You would think I'd know about something like that. It's been a long time since I tried Snapple, during the drive down to the US, about 15 years ago. It was really sweet. I was offered a sample of the new water, waiting for it in the mail. Should be interesting.
I hope they send dragonfruit flavour. Dragons should have dragonfruit. I expect it's juicy, a little tangy and just a touch bitter. Not too bitter. Not enough to bite anyone's head off. But, not all sweet and nice either. The write up about it from the website was funny. Like they know I daydream way too much. :)
Added this morning: I found dragonfruit. It has a few interesting names. If you are somewhere this grows can you send seeds or a cutting? Would be fun to try growing this. We have a few exotic flowering cactus. I don't know what they are all called. I get cuttings from various places and try to keep them alive. :) Most are doing great. They will start getting flowers soon now that the weather has warmed up.

Thursday Thirteen: ASCII Art Dragons

For Thursday Thirteen, I love dragons. Some of these are ASCII art dragons I made awhile ago and the others are from other ASCII artists.

I'm Having a Dragon Kind of Day
I thought about doing so many various things today but I've just been goofing off. I feel a bit tired, blah and achy. If I wasn't being so lazy I'd put socks on so my feet would stop being so cold. I was looking at dragon pictures/ drawings and quizes today. I'm reading another dragon related book this week. This time by Stephanie Rowe. She doesn't have much of a website so I won't go back to get a link for it. Not right now anyway. It would be fun to be a dragon. I'd like to be able to fly. Imagine how much you'd save on transportation and travel.
Katie MacAlister's Dragon Septs: Silver Dragons

You are calm, understand the meaning of zen, are a poet, and value the time you spend with other people. You would do well with the Silver Dragon Sept
# Traits of the Silver Dragons
The silver dragons are renowned healers, and as such, are very much in demand in both the mortal and Otherworld. Some silver dragons also have empathic abilities, a trait that has been exploited by other septs. They have a particular affinity with nature, and many spend time with earthier beings such as wood sprites, elves, and sylphs. They are cautious and careful in battle and politics, and while they hold honor and loyalty to be among their most valued traits, they are formidable in their revenge if you cross them.
Find out what kind of dragon you would be if you were in a dragon sept in Katie MacAlister's Aisling Grey books.

Dragonology: the Bookmark

I bought myself a new bookmark. I haven't done that in ages. Usually I take home some promotional bookmark from the bookstore when I buy a new book. Most of the bookmarks I use don't last for a second book. I stick them somewhere or other and when I start a new book I pick up something or other to mark my spot. Sometimes I just fold down a corner of the page I'm reading. Not the best option as I like to pass along the book after I read it and no one really goes wild for a dog earred book. So, I treated myself to a dragon bookmark. We will see how long it lasts. It's quite pretty.

Everyone Needs a Christmas Dragon

Dragon: 'Goodness, Strength, Courage and Fortitude' and bringing 'Vigilance and Security'.
There were three more Christmas dragons as colouring pages for kids, by Phee McFaddell
The Dragon Horoscope (Another One)
WOOD DRAGON Horoscope
Feb 16, 1904 to Feb 3, 1905
Feb 13, 1964 to Feb 1, 1965
Dragon people are the most eccentric in the Chinese Zodiac. Soaring high into the serene heavens, they can be stubborn, passionate, excitable, honest, and brave, wear purple and walk barefoot in public fountains. They listen to their own drummer, thank you very much, while the rest of the world stands in amazement. People always admire their individuality and feisty personality. Dragons are capable of doing great work for mankind and they inspire trust in almost everyone. The Dragon symbolizes life and growth and is said to bring the five blessings: harmony, virtue, riches, fulfillment and longevity.
Dragons are majestic creatures. These Dragons are the chivalrous knights and guardian angels of life, generous with their friendship, compassionate, even heroic, in their deeds. Showing great tolerance towards others, they move easily among all social strata and travel extensively, opening their minds to new things. Brave as matadors, their courageous lives are truly inspiring. Natural curiosity leads Wood Dragons to pursue very interesting career paths. The dichotomy is they are successful human beings but not all that successful in their careers, despite all the help they get from friends and mentors. Fortune comes to them anyway! Now, as you know, the chances of winning the lottery are pretty slim, but Wood Dragons just might do it. Rainy days or sunny, good fortune seems to shine on these money magnets, just like magic. The Wood Dragon is steady as a rock when it comes to Love & Relationships. They just don't believe in love at first sight. To them, love, relationships, and marriage follow a progressive course, evolving naturally and slowly out of friendship. Once the love bug catches them, their love is deep and passionate. The Wood Dragon partner is loving and supportive of the loved one's needs and love is never taken for granted.
I always get these great sounding horoscopes but not much of it is happening in reality. I feel like I missed a bus or something and now I'm one step behind myself for the rest of my life - or until I catch another, better, faster bus.
