Accounts of a Church Photographer

The pictures are great. It's along the lines of urban exploration but I don't think there is any focus on abandoned buidlings. Exceptional blog!

Hi James,

Photographing forgotten/ disused buildings is pretty much what urban exploration is about. They also get into water tunnels and manufacturing buildings. Pretty much anything they can access. There are guidelines set up regarding safety and respecting the owners of disused buildings, but not everyone follows such rules.

I began exploring abandoned houses with my Mother many years ago, when I was a kid. Long before I knew there was a name for it. Now I go when I can but I have yet to start using my digital camera to take photographs.

There is a really great house in Bradford which I would like to get photos of. I suspect it will be torn down soon. It's a beautiful old house, a farm house and yet it's huge for just a farm house. Quite a bit of fancy woodwork still seems intact from the outside.

Thanks for the visit and feedback. :)
